Martha's Table Community Program, located in Kingston, Ontario, is a cherished free restaurant dedicated to serving the Kingston community. Each day, we provide over 400 meals to those in need, fostering a sense of community and support for our guests. Our mission is to offer nutritious meals in a warm and welcoming environment, ensuring that everyone has access to a dignified dining experience. To help us continue this vital service, we are seeking dedicated volunteers to join our team as Dining Room Support. Position Summary: As a Dining Room Support at Martha's Table, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our Dining Room operates smoothly. You will be responsible for various tasks, including waiting on tables, clearing tables, removing dishes to the dishwashing station, maintaining cleanliness, and contributing to the overall efficiency of our Dining Room service.

Dates and Times

Preference is a 4 hours shift commitment once a week. Attend scheduled shifts punctually and reliably; if unable to make a shift, communicate as soon as possible to allow time for finding a replacement. Required Qualifications

As a Dining Room Support at Martha's Table, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our Dining Room operates smoothly. You will be responsible for various tasks, including waiting on tables, clearing tables, removing dishes to the dishwashing station, maintaining cleanliness, and contributing to the overall efficiency of our Dining Room service. Safe Food Handling would be a PLUS.

Position Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities: Waiting Tables: Deliver drinks and food to our Diners. Martha's provides a full Restaurant experience for our Guests. Hygiene and Safety: Adhere to strict hygiene standards. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Safety Awareness: Never put yourself in harm's way; report any safety or security concerns to the kitchen supervisor on duty. Shift Commitment: Attend scheduled shifts punctually and reliably; if unable to make a shift, communicate as soon as possible to allow time for finding a replacement. Qualifications: A willingness to serve others and contribute to a welcoming dining environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic setting. Respect for hygiene and safety protocols. Reliable and punctual.
