Provide sustainable and affordable transportation services for seniors and adults with a disability residing within the South Frontenac and Rural Kingston area for medical, legal or social appointments.

Required Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record • Access to a vehicle that is roadworthy, reliable, and suitable for the client’s needs • No health conditions that may impair the ability to drive safely (vision, hearing, perception, reflexes, certain medications, etc.) • Cellphone is an asset- for roadside emergencies or needing to contact a staff member

Position Responsibilities

• Coordinate all trips through the SFCSC Transportation Coordinator. • As a courtesy, drivers are to meet clients at their door and assist them in and out of the vehicle when picking them up or dropping them off. Volunteers are never to lift clients in and out of the vehicle. • Drive safely at all times, stay within legal speed limits and abide by the rules of the road.
