The Kingston Institute for Multi-Racial Inclusion is searching for someone with a financial certification or studying towards it who would like to join its board of directors and assume the treasurer’s role. This position would be of interest to someone who would like to: -Make a meaningful contribution to the advancement of EDII (equity, diversity, Indigenization, diversity) in Kingston, both generally and by contributing financial expertise. -Work with a diverse and passionate board of directors. -Be part of the ‘start-up’ of a promising incorporated non-profit organization that is needed, in partnership with other organizations, to advance EDII in Kingston.

Position Responsibilities

The Treasurer provides oversight of the non-profit’s finances, including budgeting, basic recordkeeping, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. This role involves helping to build simple financial systems, supporting fundraising efforts, and reporting on the organization’s financial health to the board.
