DO YOU DRIVE and WANT TO MAKE A BIG DIFFERENCE FOR AN INTERNATIONAL CHARITY? Seva Canada has helped millions of people around the world, in the poorest countries, to alleviate unnecessary blindness. Seva has restored sight to over 5 million people. How does a small humanitarian organization like Seva provide tens of thousands of sight-restoring eye surgeries every year, free to the poor? Seva’s innovative funding model whereby those who can pay subsidizes services for those who cannot afford care amplifies the value of each donated dollar and is why the World Bank deems eye care one of the most cost-effective health interventions to reduce poverty in low-and middle-income countries. Additionally, Charity Intelligence rates Seva Canada a top 100 charity with a high percentage of donated dollars going directly to the cause as opposed to administrative costs. The Volunteer - Brand Ambassadors will help distribute publicity materials to Kingston sources such as libraries, supermarkets, schools, faith places, seniors’ association etc.

Dates and Times

Times will vary - will require local deliveries to Kingston area locations of marketing and donor materials. Not a regular set schedule, only a couple to a few hours per month. Be on a roster of volunteer Brand Ambassadors.

Required Qualifications

Valid drivers license Ability to lift 10-25 lbs. Over the age of 18 years old

Position Responsibilities

The role entails picking up materials at a designated location, delivering the materials to local Kingston sources and providing some cursory information about Seva Canada to the appropriate source contacts. Valid drivers license is required Ability to lift 10-25 lbs.
