Reporting to the President and Senior Executive Committee, the Director of Grant & Funding Applications will have a pivotal role to play on the Well Suited Board of Directors; sourcing, developing & completing various Grant and Funding Applications to be used in Support of Well Suited's Mission, Vision, Strategic and Operational Planned Direction. This position requires a self motivated driven individual who aligns themselves with WSK's Mission and Values (available to read in WSK strategic plan). There are 2 board positions listed under this title, reason being that the last Strategical Plan completed, identified the intensity (and requirement) for this role to be increased - the intent is that one director will focus and lead on Applications and the other will focus more on the fundraising efforts

Director of Grant & Funding Applications

Dates and Times

Time commitment is varied; the successful candidate will be expected to attend all Board Meetings and Workshops. Currently, the frequency of these meetings is once a month for an approximate duration of 2 hours. Sourcing, developing and completion of applications is varied but successful applicants should estimate to be able to dedicate approx 1 - 2 hours a week.

Required Qualifications

We are looking for dynamic, energised, pragmatic board members who are willing to both have a keen eye for detail and roll up their sleeves and put words into action. The successful applicant will be joining a growing organization who are committed to providing the best support possible to Well Suited's Mission and Vision; the successful applicant should be fully versed and supportive of these. Previous experience of working on a Board of a not for profit organization is a bonus but not mandatory. Previous experience of dealing with Grant & Funding applications is also a bonus but not mandatory.

Position Responsibilities

Sourcing various Grants available for Well Suited Programmes Gathering required information to be able to complete the Applications (close liaison with treasurer) Completion of Grant and Funding Applications, on time and on target (correctness) Reporting to and updating the Board of Directors on the progress of Applications
