As a volunteer in this position, you will greet cyclists, safely receive their bikes, and issue corresponding claim tickets. You will organize and park bicycles in designated areas, ensuring proper spacing and accessibility. Throughout the event, you will monitor the bike area to deter theft or damage and assist cyclists in retrieving their bikes when they leave. Your friendly and helpful demeanor will contribute to a positive experience for event attendees and promote the use of sustainable transportation options.

Required Qualifications

Requirements: - Passion for promoting sustainable transportation and a bicycle-friendly community. - Fair interpersonal and customer service skills. - Strong organizational abilities with attention to detail. - Ability to work well in a team and handle potentially busy situations - Availability to volunteer during scheduled events, which may include evenings and weekends.

Position Responsibilities

Responsibilities: Bike Parking Assistance: - Greet bicyclists and provide them with information about the bike valet service. - Collect and securely store bicycles in designated racks or storage areas. - Issue numbered tags or receipts to bike owners to facilitate easy retrieval. Bike Retrieval: - Verify ownership by matching the tag or receipt provided during check-in. - Retrieve the correct bicycle promptly and return it to the owner. - Ensure the safe and secure handling of each bicycle during retrieval. Customer Service: - Provide friendly and professional assistance to bike owners, addressing any inquiries or concerns.
