Virtual Programming Course Instructor

Make a difference by helping others to learn how to code. Kurius is a non-profit coding education organization that aims to provide free and accessible programming courses to anyone who wants to learn. We teach the fundamental concepts of various popular programming languages. We are looking for volunteer instructors to help us run our online courses.

Dates and Times

You will be required to teach one 1.5 hour session per week for a duration of 9 weeks.

Required Qualifications

To be an instructor at Kurius, you need to have a solid understanding of the programming language(s) that you want to teach, and be able to explain them clearly and accurately to your students. You also need to have a friendly and patient personality that can motivate and inspire students of different ages, backgrounds, and skill levels. Moreover, you need to have a flexible schedule that can accommodate one lesson per week for nine weeks, and be prepared to provide feedback and support to your students during and after the course. Finally, you need to have a commitment to our values of inclusivity, diversity, and empowerment, and share our vision of creating a welcoming and supportive learning environment for everyone.

Position Responsibilities

As an instructor, you will be responsible for preparing and delivering engaging lessons based on a curriculum aligned with your knowledge and strengths. You will also provide feedback and support to students during the course, and help them achieve their learning goals. Moreover, you will collaborate with other instructors and staff members to ensure the quality and consistency of our courses, and contribute to the improvement of our teaching methods and materials.
