St. Vincent de Paul provides practical assistance to our community. We do this in a number of ways including getting individuals furniture that they need while housed. This can be anything from a new bed to a dresser. We need volunteers that are capable of lifting heavier furniture. This shift would be from 9am-1pm, with some days ending earlier then others. We can accept volunteers that are not able to drive to be assistance to drivers. In order to drive our vehicle you need to be a G level driver. But as an assistant you do not need this qualification. To be a volunteer at St. Vincent de Paul Society of Kingston all volunteers need to acquire a criminal record check. Position are available Monday to Friday. During our initial meeting we will discuss availability and schedule your shifts.

Dates and Times

We are looking for volunteers to fill shifts on Tuesday and Thursday from 1130am - 230pm. Days will vary based on the number of pick ups set up. Days will not go longer then 230pm.

Position Responsibilities

Drivers will be given deliveries that will be time and date sensitive. They will be instructed, on what they are taking and what address they will be visiting. Drivers could be partnered with assistances for lifting heavy objects.
