Applications Closed

What is the Role? In the meal program the volunteers will be packing the take-out lunches for clients to pick up. You will also be serving coffee and helping clients with the fresh produce that comes in from donation. This role can be high paced and active for the full 4 hours that you may be volunteering. The role is designed with 5 volunteers on each shift and will allow you to take a break as needed or to switch roles that may be a bit less demanding. What do you wear? All meal program volunteers need to have their hair pulled back if it is long enough to be. We ask that volunteers to always be in closed toed shoes. Volunteers can wear casual clothing that is appropriate for the workplace. We ask that all volunteers wear an apron as they will be handling food during their shift. Volunteers are asked to come with proper hygiene as we are being role models to our clients and are handling food. Who do you report to? All volunteers will report to the Volunteer Coordinator. If time needs to be booked off, shifts need to be change or a concern has come up it is best to go directly to the volunteer coordinator to discuss. Volunteers will be supervised by the Meal Program Coordinator, who will assist in volunteer training and tasks during shift.
