Compassionate Communities Kingston Canada (CCKC)

Compassionate Community Kingston Canada (CCKC) was formed in 2017 to bring the international compassionate care movement to Kingston. We are a voluntary network of people who are passionate about actively improving the experiences of those coping with life-limiting conditions, dying and death. We are dedicated to creating a community in which people are better able to help each other in times of need. Our purpose is to help our citizens who are dealing with aging, a variety of health issues or loneliness and socialization. We want everyone to live as well as they can for as long as they can. We hope our community will become more and more kind and compassionate.

Kingston is a community of people that support each other in the event of life-limiting illness, where people are willing to have conversations about living and dying well.

Individuals can support Compassionate Communities Kingston Canada (CCKC) by volunteering as Talking Café Facilitators. Facilitators help create warm, welcoming spaces where older adults can connect, share stories, and enjoy meaningful conversations. Volunteers gently guide discussions, foster an inclusive environment, and help reduce social isolation.
