Seeds of Diversity - Youth in Food Systems

About Seeds of Diversity - Youth in Food Systems:

Seeds of Diversity is a nationally-incorporated charity that engages Canadians to secure the future of food production and adapt Canadian food systems to new challenges of the next century. Through education and hands-on skills training, gardeners young and old preserve the biodiversity and sustainability of our agricultural food system: seeds, plants, and pollinators. We engage high-school aged youth in our Youth in Food Systems program, where they are given opportunities to learn about Canadian agriculture and food sectors, develop leadership and inquiry skills, and communicate their learning with their peers through social media, blog posts, video interviews, and in-person interactions.

Our Mission:

Youth in Food Systems, a program of Seeds of Diversity, aims to engage youth in food systems learning, skills development, and agri-food career exploration through youth-driven projects that build capacity for leadership in our food systems.
