Start2Finish

Start2Finish is a national not-for-profit organization offering free after-school programs at partner elementary schools with an emphasis on literacy, physical activity and social emotional learning in a little over 70 under resourced communities across Canada. We offer running and reading clubs, junior coach leadership, backpack drives and online programming.

Our mission is to break the cycle of child poverty by providing ongoing educational support to Canada’s at-risk children throughout their school years, nurturing mind, body and social health so they are empowered to succeed and become role models for change. Our vision is to eradicate the effects of child poverty in Canada.

We exist to remove the quiet barriers that hold children back—working alongside schools to ensure every child starts with what they need to learn, belong, and thrive. Volunteers are needed to facilitate our in-person and virtual programs. We currently operate 4 locations in the Kingston area.
