Start2Finish

Start2Finish is a national not-for-profit organization offering free after-school programs at partner elementary schools with an emphasis on literacy, physical activity and social emotional learning in a little over 70 under resourced communities across Canada. We offer running and reading clubs, junior coach leadership, backpack drives and online programming.

Our mission is to break the cycle of child poverty by providing ongoing educational support to Canada’s at-risk children throughout their school years, nurturing mind, body and social health so they are empowered to succeed and become role models for change. Our vision is to eradicate the effects of child poverty in Canada.

Volunteers are needed to facilitate our running and reading clubs that run once a week after school. Volunteers engage students in physical activity (running activities and games), snack, reading and journal time. We currently operate 3 locations in the Kingston area. If you are not able to volunteer in person we do run a similar program online that also requires volunteers.
