The Shoebox Project for Women

About The Shoebox Project for Women:

Founded in 2011, we are a registered Charity that works to build compassionate and connected communities through volunteer-led gift drives that benefit women who are impacted by homelessness. By distributing essentials of daily living to shelters and community agencies, we support women and gender-diverse people facing income inequality. By building awareness and educating youth, we challenge stigmas, fight discrimination, and promote equity.

Our Mission:

To uplift and empower women who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness through in-kind support, education and community participation.

How You Can Support Us:

Recruiting for the right volunteer(s) looking for a leadership opportunity in their community to lead our Local Chapter in St. John's. Volunteers help support our Local St. John's Chapter for our annual holiday gift drive to support women impacted or at risk of homelessness. Our Chapters organize community drop off locations for individuals to give gifts as well as gather, inspect and deliver these gifts to local shelters during the holiday season.
