Wintergreen Studios

Wintergreen Studios is a 204-acre wilderness education retreat centre located in the heart of the Frontenac Arch Biosphere Reserve in South Frontenac, Ontario. It is an off-grid facility, featuring straw bale and cordwood construction, demonstrating how off-grid living can be both sustainable and inviting. We offer educational programming for how to live sustainably, with an arts-integrated approach, inviting participants to explore their connections to the natural world.

Wintergreen Studios embodies joyful ways of living in balance with the natural world. Our programs and off-grid facilities inspire people to live harmoniously, to become more resilient, and to return to their homes, workplaces, and communities nurtured and rejuvenated—ready to make a difference.
